Goal

Our goal is to develop one of the finest oak savannas in the Midwest, and, through field trips and volunteer workdays and our web site, help others learn how this is done. We are also committed to the stewardship and restoration of our prairies, wetlands and woodlands. Uppermost, in general, is the goal of species diversity as the embodiment of landscape resilience, especially as the seasons become more variable and less predictable with climate change. Through education and research, we aim to model a careful and responsible land ethic and to inspire others to simply enjoy being outside.
